Improving Personal Effectiveness Seminar

 

Evan Ward, President of the Bangor Chamber of Commerce, would like to invite all local business people and all budding entrepreneurs to an ‘Improving Personal Effectiveness Seminar’ with leading speaker Billy Dixon on Thursday 19th October at 6pm in the Clandeboye Lodge.

 

Mr Dixon, a former lecturer in post-grad marketing and now partner of Propeller, a Belfast Based Company, travels throughout the UK and Europe addressing business people on how they can be more effective operators within the market place.

 

Having been a full-time advisor for the past five years, Mr Dixon has developed strong relationships with major banks, pharmaceutical companies and a wide range of blue chip clients and public sector organisations for whom he provides image and communications advice.

 

On the 19th of October Mr Dixon will address all areas that influence other people’s perceptions of you and your business.  By using his three pillars of personal projection the seminar will give guidance on: -

 

• Initiating, developing and maintaining good professional relationships
• Entrance and exit strategies
• Making a good first impression
• Talking and listening
• Making others feel important
• Appropriate body language
• Reading non-verbal signals
• Dressing appropriately

• Avoiding social gaffs.

 

Following the presentation, attendees will hopefully have a greater understanding on how to project, CONFIDENCE, TRUST and QUALITY.
