An evening to voice your opinion on your town 15th March 2006
Here at Bangor Chamber of Commerce, we have recognised that there are critical areas requiring attention in Bangor. We have decided to run a targeted, focused event, which will address some of the current issues and allow us to formulate a plan for the future, whilst setting the record straight on the current situation.
We have invited the key players in their fields to address our audience and Lynn Carson will facilitate the evening.
DMS Personnel Consultants (Ireland) Ltd was established in 1999 as the only approved CIPD Professional Assessment centre in Northern Ireland. Since then, DMS has become one of Northern Ireland’s most prestigious providers of HR/Management development programmes and leading CIPD accredited NVQ centre. Headed by Lynn Carson, DMS brings together a wide range of skills, experience and expertise in the HR/Management/Training industry.
Henry Johnston is Director of the Regional Development Office (RDO) in the Department for Social Development (DSD). He is responsible for urban regeneration outside of Belfast and the North West. RDO has some 50 staff working out of offices in Belfast, Ballymena, Banbridge and Omagh.
Before taking up his present post in late 2004, Henry was responsible for policy formulation in respect of urban regeneration and social policy in DSD. He is married with 2 children and lives in North Down.
Mr Joe Drew is the current Divisional Roads Manager for Eastern Division. He took up post in October 2002.He has extensive experience in road related matters, having been employed by Roads Service since Local Government Reorganisation in 1973. His experience includes road and bridge design and construction. He is a chartered civil engineer.
He implemented the Productivity Scheme Programme in Roads Service from 1980 to 1985 when step changes in productivity were realised by Roads Service.
He was also the first Head of Roads Service Direct (RSD), the internal Direct Labour Organisation, and organised it on a Roads Service wide basis. RSD delivers the Roads Winter Service programme (salting) and also provides an immediate emergency response.
He has previously been Divisional Roads Manager for Coleraine Division and has extensive roads maintenance experience gained in Downpatrick Division of Roads Service.
Superintendent Shields is the District Commander for North Down District Command Unit following his appointment in February 2003. He has 25 years police service and has worked in the following areas: Ards, Kilkeel, Londonderry, South, East and West Belfast. |
