The Streat Café 82B Main Street, Bangor, 028 9146 5554 Since March 2005 the Streat Café has been meeting the needs of both the business and local community in Bangor. Run by franchisee Colin Clarke and his wife Sandra, along with the support of supervisor Sarah McMaster and the team, the Streat has set about establishing itself as the premier coffee shop and take away in Bangor.
Situated on a prime location on Main Street, the Streat Bangor is unique in that it is a two storey coffee shop. The downstairs lounge offers a cosy and relaxing atmosphere hidden away from the bustling thoroughfare.
Using the Streat’s own coffee blend which is a combination of two beans, one from Nyeri in East Africa and the other from Costa Rica, it offers a smooth soft simulating aroma which complements the wide choice of sandwiches, panini, ciabatta and salads available on the New Menu. All prepared using the Streat’s 9 laws to sandwich making. The Streat has also begun to stock a wide range loose leaf tea showing an interest in widening their customer appeal.
Winner of the Best New Business in the 2006 Bangor Business Awards, the Streat Franchise has also been awarded Gold in the National Clean Air award and is the only Northern Ireland Company to do so.
A growing area of the Streat Bangor is its outdoor catering.
